On October 10, Shinchosha and Sazaby League opened the curated store "la kagu" in Kagurazaka, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo. Its concept is "REVALUE," embodying the idea of finding value in "things that have been around for a long time" and "things we want to continue cherishing." Beyond fashion and lifestyle goods, it features a book space, lecture space, and café, proposing a lifestyle encompassing "clothing, food, shelter + knowledge." The store's facility is an original space that preserves the structure and fixtures of Shinchōsha's book warehouse, built in the 1960s. Outside, a wood deck and grand staircase designed by architect Kengo Kuma extend outward. The facility's name is derived from "la kagu," the colloquial French name for Kagurazaka.

Mai Kasai, head of the Shinchosha la kagu Project Office, stated, "We've had few opportunities to interact directly with readers until now, but we want to understand their needs through their responses to events and reflect that in our book production. The lecture space will continuously host publisher-specific events like readings by bestselling authors themselves and open editorial meetings. We aim to create a space that makes people want to read books when they come here." Emi Shikaku from the company's Public Relations and Advertising Department expressed enthusiasm: "We hope even people without an interest in books will visit here and be inspired in various ways. Using this space, which disseminates lifestyle culture, as a foundation, we also want to make our publishing culture more interesting."
Yuko Suga from Sazaby League's Business Development Department stated, "This venture is challenging for us—not opening in fashion hubs like Aoyama or Harajuku, nor using an existing Sazaby League brand. Instead, it's a collaboration with a publisher in Kagurazaka. We'll develop services and events based on a concept achievable only at this store. Located right in front of Kagurazaka Station, we hope it becomes a starting point for many people to enjoy the Kagurazaka area."
