Dentsu Inc. will co-host the 2nd "Asian Football Management Seminar" with the International Center for Sports Studies (CIES) at Dentsu Hall in Shiodome, Tokyo, on December 3rd.
The theme for this second seminar is "Trends in Asian Football Post-2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil." Targeting professionals and students interested in football promotion and business, five speakers will discuss the future of Asian teams—none of which secured a single win at the tournament—from the perspectives of tournament operations, team strengthening, and player development. The seminar will also cover national team movements ahead of the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 in January and initiatives taken during the tournament.
Co-organizer CIES is an international educational institution that operates the FIFA Masters program in Europe in partnership with FIFA. On the day of the seminar, speakers will include Ryan Healey, who has completed the FIFA Masters program and is involved in numerous tournament operations, including as a member of the AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015 organizing committee, and Alex Phillips, who was involved in strategy planning at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and is currently a consulting advisor to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). In addition, soccer commentator Yasutaro Matsuki, soccer player Jeong Tae-se, who played in the J.League and Bundesliga and currently plays in South Korea's K League, and Yoshihiro Oi from Dentsu Inc. Soccer Business Office will also give presentations.
Registration for this seminar is now open on the special website ( http://www.asiasoccer.jp ). Participation is free of charge, but registration will close once the capacity of 600 participants is reached.
