The "311 'Connecting Day' Project" was launched this March, four years after the Great East Japan Earthquake. ETIC. NPO representative director Haruo Miyagi called for its creation, stating, "Let's preserve in a positive way the movement that spread throughout Japan and engaged the world, sparked by the disaster that occurred on March 11th. Let's keep it alive forever as something that concerns everyone." It was established with volunteers who agreed with this purpose.
At the event on the 22nd, booths were set up, and flyers promoting the project were distributed by participating corporate volunteers. Artist "AERIAL" performed the song "Let's Hold Hands," created specifically for this project (left photo). Responding to the message "Let's keep creating connections," approximately 100 attendees joined hands to form a large circle.
The project website features a video showing approximately 500 supporters from 15 prefectures, including Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki, participating to the song "Let's Hold Hands" created by AERIAL for the project. It calls for posting messages of support on Facebook and Twitter.
