Two Newspapers Launch Advertising Campaign Featuring Kanazawa's Tradition and Creativity ~Timed with the All Japan Advertising Federation Conference~

To commemorate the 63rd All Japan Advertising Federation Kanazawa Convention, Hokkoku Shimbun and Chunichi Shimbun Hokuriku Headquarters implemented an advertising campaign.

On May 19, the day before the ceremony, Hokkoku Shimbun published a special insert titled "AM Kanazawa PM Kanazawa," introducing a day in Kanazawa hour by hour with beautiful photographs.
Hitoshi Yoshida, Sales Director at Hokkoku Shimbun, stated, "We were able to express the theme of the Kanazawa Convention, 'Five-Senses Hospitality,' on the pages of our newspaper. I believe it helped not only visitors to Kanazawa but also its residents rediscover the city's profound depth and mysterious charm." Katsuo Mizuguchi of Hotchkiss, who oversaw the overall production, stated, "Kanazawa is a city where tradition and innovation coexist perfectly. It reveals different facets at different times of day. We wanted to convey that charm."

On the 20th, a special insert titled " NEWSPAPER FES!! " utilizing AR (Augmented Reality) technology was published.
By holding a smartphone over AR markers embedded in the pages, readers could view performances by artists from Ishikawa Prefecture against backdrops of the prefecture's famous sites. This feature was available exclusively during the All Japan Newspaper Publishers Association Convention period (May 20-22).
This initiative aimed to showcase the potential of newspapers utilizing digital technology while also spreading awareness of the event.
