Dentsu Inc. President Ishii Delivers Message to Employees at 114th Anniversary Ceremony ― Writing a New Page in History with Two Forces: Creativity and Collaboration ―

Dentsu Inc.'s 114th Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony was held on July 1st in the Dentsu Hall on the first floor. President Ishii addressed Dentsu Group employees, outlining his vision. The key points are as follows.
◇
I have long stated that Dentsu Inc.'s history is "a trail of transformation and challenge." The 114 years Dentsu Inc. has traversed are nothing less than the path our predecessors forged by overcoming the waves of change and adversity that repeatedly swept over us.
Looking ahead to the future, when we envision Dentsu Inc. in 2051 celebrating its 150th anniversary and then look back from that point, the decade surrounding this milestone will likely be recognized as one of the periods in Dentsu Inc. history facing the largest and most intense waves of change. The waves of change in the business environment surrounding us are that significant, affecting every aspect of business.
The Dentsu Group must overcome these waves of change, achieving its own transformation, further growth, and evolution. Two key words, significant in this context, were also highlighted at the annual meeting of the American Advertising Federation (4A's) held this past March: "Creativity" and "Collaboration."
The "Creativity" we must demonstrate is no longer confined to the field of communication. It is the ability to construct and execute every possible solution aimed at the success of our clients' businesses. This capability must be demonstrated in all work across the Dentsu Group, regardless of the specific type of business activity.
"Collaboration" can be described as the power to network. Expanding our vision not only allows us to build new networks with emerging players but also transforms the powerful external networks inherited from our predecessors into networks of a different dimension, capable of generating new value. Furthermore, it is crucial to evolve the network capabilities within the Group itself, ensuring that every company and every employee within the Group becomes a "starting point for solving problems" and a "subject that demonstrates integration capabilities."
The waves of change surrounding us are vast and intense. Yet, just as Dentsu Inc.'s history has shown, by anticipating the times and maximizing the opportunities before us, we can achieve even greater leaps forward and together write a new, brilliant chapter in our history.
I sincerely hope that each future anniversary of our founding will be an opportunity for everyone working in the Dentsu Group to experience new growth and evolution.
