Targeting mature men, the magazine features a total of 21 exclusive models from each era of MEN'S NON-NO. Hiroshi Abe, who was also an exclusive model at the magazine's launch, graces the cover. It proposes fashion and lifestyle for sophisticated, stylish men. It went on sale nationwide at major bookstores starting September 29.
For its launch, the magazine collaborated with Toyota's sports FR sedan, the "Toyota Mark X," which targets "mature men with their own sense of self." Roland Kirishima's driving is featured in the magazine, and content about the car is also available on the magazine's special website.
Special Editor-in-Chief Asako Hidaka explained that as MEN'S NON-NO, originally launched in 1986 for young men, celebrates its 30th anniversary, the publication aims to send encouragement to its readers from that era who are now active adults in their respective fields. This time, a special site has been launched on "MEN'S NON-NO WEB," offering "My MEN'S NON-NO for Adults." By answering several questions and entering your age, you can create a custom-made, personalized version of the magazine. Editor-in-Chief Hidaka stated this is a new challenge for future magazine production.
Additionally, the actual "Mark X" car featured in this collaboration was displayed on stage. Former models Tōru Kazama, Kirishima, Mark Panther, and Licht appeared one after another. Joined by Editor-in-Chief Hidaka, they shared stories from their modeling days, discussed fashion, and talked about what makes a cool adult.
They also shared an anecdote about how "soy sauce faces" and "sauce faces" split female popularity back then. Kazama is known as the originator of the soy sauce face. Licht revealed he had been a fan of Mark since before becoming a model and expressed his joy at finally meeting him today. Kirishima explained he started as a photographer's assistant before becoming a model, learning photography skills while modeling, and credited MEN'S NON-NO for making him who he is today.
