Showcasing the joy and fun of everyday life through unique exhibits ― Daihatsu (TMS)

Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. showcased four reference models making their world premiere, along with ten production vehicles and technology exhibits, at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show (October 29 - November 8, Tokyo Big Sight). The theme was "POSSIBLE! Tomorrow's 'Can Do' with Daihatsu."

At the start of the press briefing held on October 28, the winning entries for the "DRESS-FORMATION Design Award"—a contest soliciting designs for the kei open sports car "Copen"—were announced. President Masanori Mitsui presented the Grand Prix winner, Keisuke Kosaka, with a trophy.

"NORI ORI" focuses on the hurdle users face when getting in and out of cars. It features an ultra-low floor, large two-way access doors, and an electric ramp, pursuing ease of entry and exit for a wide range of uses, from strollers to wheelchairs.

"TEMPO" proposes a "new genre space-oriented commercial vehicle" that maximizes the potential of the FF (front-wheel drive) platform as a new form of light commercial vehicle. It is a mobile sales vehicle that leverages the high flexibility of its interior space. It is equipped with a showcase incorporating a counter table and digital signage.

Additionally, the exhibition features the "D-base," proposing the next generation of small cars, and the "HINATA," characterized by its rounded design that blends aesthetics with spatial functionality.
