Disney × Illumination × May J.: A Dream Collaboration
Caretta Shiodome, a commercial facility in Minato Ward, Tokyo, is hosting the fantastical blue light illumination event "Caretta Illumination 2015 'Canyon d'Azur ~Valley of the Blue Star~'" from November 19th (running until February 14th, excluding January 1st and 2nd). This 10th-anniversary edition features a collaboration with the live-action Disney film "Cinderella," allowing visitors to enjoy a show recreating its world.

On the opening day, November 19th, singer May J. was invited to perform at the lighting ceremony. May J. appeared in a light blue dress inspired by Cinderella. As the countdown ended, she rang the bell of the "Carillon Tree," causing the blue lights to illuminate simultaneously, drawing cheers from the audience.
Afterwards, bathed in light, she performed three songs from her newly released album "May J. sings Disney": "When You Wish Upon a Star," "Disney Princess Medley," and "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes." May J., who has loved Disney movies since childhood, credits singing their songs with teaching her the joy of music. "Disney inspired me to become a singer. I always dreamed of becoming a singer who could perform Disney songs someday," she shared, making this collaboration a dream come true.
This year's Caretta illumination features approximately 270,000 LED lights, surpassing last year's display. A roughly 6-minute illumination show, featuring lights changing colors in sequence and original music, runs every 20 minutes. Additionally, at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 9:00 PM, and 10:00 PM, a Cinderella Special Program Show will be held, using the original Cinderella song "Strong" and the end song "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" in the music.
Inside Caretta, visitors can enjoy events aligned with the illumination's theme, including a photo spot inspired by the pumpkin carriage (B2), displays of dresses and glass slippers (46F), and the "Canyon d'Azur 12 Zodiac Collection" featuring menus, items, and services inspired by the stories of the 12 zodiac signs.
Every Sunday in January and February next year, a special event will be held where one group per day can personally light the illuminations. Details will be posted sequentially on the special website.
