Dentsu Inc. has formed "Team DEMS," a cross-organizational group of energy professionals, to contribute to the creation of new businesses by client companies. This initiative responds to the energy industry's historic transformation, including the full liberalization of electricity in 2016 and gas retail in 2017. Team DEMS proposes various solutions to client companies.
Ahead of the upcoming electricity liberalization this spring, the company conducted a "Survey on Consumer Awareness Regarding Energy Liberalization" in November 2015, targeting 5,000 men and women aged 20 to 69 nationwide. It announced the survey results on January 22, including comparisons with the first survey conducted in December 2014.
