Seiban School Bag "Angel's Wings" is "KOH"
Schoolbag manufacturer Seiban will release its new products for fiscal year 2017 in early April and begin airing new TV commercials in May.
Ahead of this, on April 6th, the company held a presentation at Aoyama Diamond Hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo.
President Takaaki Izumi explained that while school bag sales are declining due to the declining birthrate, sales are increasing thanks to the popularity of higher-priced products. He revealed that the average purchase price for the company's products is approximately 65,000 yen, and the sales peak in July and August is occurring earlier each year. He also stated that this fiscal year, the company will continue efforts to adopt new materials, develop functions, and improve quality. Furthermore, on April 22, it will open its third directly managed store, "Seiban Shinsaibashi," in Osaka City.
Talent DAIGO, who appears in the "DAIGO Angel" edition airing from May 2nd, took the stage. In the commercial, DAIGO portrays the "DAIGO Angel" with large white wings to express the "Angel's Wings" randoseru, designed for ease of carrying. He performs sharp dance moves alongside children to the "Angel's Wings" song he sings.
DAIGO joked, "This commercial packs my whole life into song, dance, and 'wish'," then confidently declared in his signature DAI-speak, "A rock musician and a schoolbag? That's an MC (Miracle Collaboration)!" He also delivers the "KOH" (Kids, Heart, Quality) line in the commercial. Regarding the schoolbags, he expressed envy, noting how their color variations and designs are far more abundant than in his own school days.
Following DAIGO, the Landsel Concierge Takako Yokota, who supports children in choosing their Landsel backpacks as a specialist, and child actors Kaito Higuchi and Kokoro Ishii, who appeared in the commercial, made their appearance. Ms. Yokota explained how to carry the backpack in a way that minimizes burden on the child and the mechanism of the Angel Wings that makes it feel lighter.
The child actors shared about the commercial shoot: "DAIGO-san was kind and taught us dance steps and wishes," and "I've liked him for a long time, so I was happy to act alongside him." DAIGO also expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "As a DAIGO Angel, I want to spread the word about the Angel Wings." He finished with his signature DAI-speak: "This randoseru is truly KJ (lightweight and durable), so I hope lots of kids will use it."
