Tokyo 2020 Games Emblem ASICS Launches First Officially Licensed Products

ASICS, a Tokyo 2020 Gold Partner (Sports Goods), began selling T-shirts featuring the Games' emblems on May 26. These are the first "official licensed products" to use the emblems.

The T-shirts commemorate the recent selection of the Olympic and Paralympic Games emblems, featuring each emblem on the chest. A total of 2,020 pieces are scheduled for sale.

They will be sold on the newly launched "ASICS Tokyo 2020 Olympic & Paralympic Support Site" ( http://www.asics.tokyo/tokyo2020/index.html ) and at ASICS Store company-operated shops.

Additionally, a limited quantity of "Official Licensed Merchandise T-shirts" from the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) and the Japanese Paralympic Committee (JPC) will be sold. These feature the "TOKYO" logo on the chest, incorporating an image of colorful sportswear overlapping and conveying the impression of Tokyo's rapidly changing cityscape within the lettering.

The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will collaborate with various licensee partners to develop official licensed merchandise featuring the Games emblem and the JOC/JPC emblems.

In late June, the Organizing Committee will announce its own "Official Original Merchandise" line, and in July, it will open two limited-time official shops in Tokyo.

The Tokyo 2020 Licensing Office is currently recruiting corporate licensees from the general public who wish to manufacture and sell official licensed merchandise and help build excitement for the Games.
