Dentsu Inc. Public Relations (Dentsu PR) announced the results of its "Second Corporate PR Capability Survey" on May 25. The survey aimed to explore the actual state and challenges of corporate PR activities in Japan, gathering responses from PR managers at 533 listed companies between February and April this year. The top three PR capabilities by industry were: 1st place "Electric Power & Gas," 2nd place "Transportation & Warehousing," and 3rd place tied between "Food Products" and "Finance, Securities & Insurance."

The results and analysis of the first survey are available in the series " A Must-Read for PR Professionals! The PR Capabilities of 479 Listed Companies."

The top-ranked "Electricity & Gas" sector demonstrated particular strengths in "Information Gathering Capabilities" and "Information Dissemination Capabilities." As an infrastructure-related sector, its "Crisis Management Capabilities" also stood out significantly compared to other industries.
The "Transportation/Warehousing" sector, which jumped from 5th to 2nd place, showed significant growth in its "Information Dissemination Capability."

This survey analyzes corporate PR capabilities using proprietary metrics across eight areas: "Information Gathering," "Information Analysis," "Strategy Development," "Information Creation," "Information Dissemination," "Relationship Building," "Crisis Management," and "PR Organizational Capability."
Based on insights gained from this survey, the Corporate PR Strategy Institute plans to provide information to academics, organizations, and companies to support enhancing the value of companies active in the Japanese market.
