Dentsu Inc.'s creative think tank, DENTSU SOKEN INC. B Team, will co-host a workshop with business magazine Forbes JAPAN and Academy Hills Library on June 29th: "Solve Social Issues Gathered by NHK with Magic Word Cards in 120 Minutes!" The venue is the Academy Hills Roppongi Library in Tokyo. This time, 40 non-library members will be invited on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are accepted via the Academy Hills website (until noon on June 27; closes once capacity is reached).
This workshop is an extra edition of Forbes JAPAN's serialized feature "DENTSU SOKEN INC. B Team's NEW CONCEPT Collection," serving as the second installment following the previous talk session.
The series highlights emerging concepts worldwide, such as "Small Merits" (focusing on the value of small things) and "Unedited First-Person Content" (directly visualizing one's field of view). This event takes the concept beyond the pages, featuring idea generation exercises and problem-solving drills utilizing the "NEW CONCEPT" methodology.
Guest speaker is NHK director Shiro Oguni. He states, "NHK is a mega-platform for social issues," and has confronted various societal challenges through producing programs like "Close-up Gendai" and "NHK Special."
The first half features a talk session moderated by Hidetoshi Kurashige, Creative Director of DENTSU SOKEN INC. B Team. Oguni, Masaharu Fujiyoshi (Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Forbes JAPAN), and Tomoyuki Torisu (Copywriter, DENTSU SOKEN INC. B Team) will discuss how to solve challenges presented by Oguni using the "NEW CONCEPT" approach.
The second half will feature Oguni and Toriusu as facilitators, leading a workshop using the idea-generation tool "Magic Word Cards" developed by the team to solve these challenges.
