On June 3, all 12,000 employees of Dentsu Inc. (DAN) simultaneously took the day off work to participate in local volunteer activities. This initiative is part of DAN Asia Pacific's CSR project "One Day for Change," which encourages all employees across its subsidiaries to take a day off work to participate in welfare activities organized by their country or region. Now in its third year, this year's theme was "Champions for Children," focusing on activities for children suffering from illness or poverty. DAN employees in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam participated in activities organized at the national or regional level.
Nick Waters, CEO of DAN Asia Pacific, stated, "One Day for Change contributes to each region while also providing an opportunity for employees to deepen solidarity across borders. We hope each employee will be reminded that there are people less fortunate than themselves and that this day serves as a catalyst to contribute to their local communities, not just on this day."
