On October 3rd, Kirin Beverage held a launch event for its fully revamped canned coffee "Kirin Fire" at Shinagawa Grand Hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Professional soccer player Kazuyoshi Miura and actor Yuya Yagira, who appear in the new TV commercial, made an appearance at the event and held a talk show.

The six products announced that day were: "Extreme Blend," "Freshly Ground Light Sugar," "Black," "Cafe Latte," "Deep Blend," and "Roasted Black."
Using the "roasted to the limit" method, which the company perfected over 17 years of trial and error, the beans are roasted deeper than a dark roast, right up to the point just before they burn off. This delivers an exceptional roasted aroma and an unprecedented taste experience.
At the launch event, Mitsuharu Yamagata, head of the company's marketing department, introduced the products. He also reported results from a nationwide secret sampling campaign of one million free cans: nearly 90% of participants expressed surprise at the roasted aroma.

Following the announcement of a new TV commercial featuring Miura, Yanagira, and musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, Miura and Yanagira appeared on stage for a talk show. When asked about the commercial's quality, Miura modestly remarked, "It turned out better than I expected, but I'm still terrible at lines." Yanagira, a soccer fan who had gotten an autograph from his idol Miura before filming, responded, "Not at all. It's an honor to work alongside such a great senior this time."
When asked about their impressions of the new Kirin Fire, Miura stated, "It was surprisingly delicious—more so than any canned coffee I've had before." Yanagiya added, "In the commercial, I say 'Delicious, this is crazy,' but that was my honest reaction, not scripted."
The new Kirin Fire goes on sale October 4th.
