Tokyo 2020 Official Original Merchandise: New Lineup Celebrates Japan

The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games began sales of a new lineup of official Tokyo 2020 original merchandise on May 1.

The newly released products feature the Games emblem while utilizing techniques and materials unique to Japan. Targeting primarily women in their 30s and 40s, the Organizing Committee has assembled a collection of items with simple designs suitable for everyday use. They also hope that seeing these products in public spaces will help build momentum for the 2020 Games.

The lineup is diverse, including seamless T-shirts made from domestic fabric, tote bags from domestic canvas, Yamanaka-nuri lacquer tumblers, Mino-yaki small plates, Imabari towels, and stationery made from domestic thinned timber.

Products are available at the Tokyo 2020 Official Online Shop and physical stores such as Hakuhinkan Toy Park Ginza Main Store in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.
