Tokyo Motor Show Audi: Promoting "Advanced Technology"

Audi Japan showcased and introduced models centered on sports cars at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show (until December 1, Tokyo Big Sight), including three Japan premieres.

At the press briefing on November 20, President Hirokazu Oki stated, "The pillars of Audi products are Quattro (full-time four-wheel drive), Ultra (lightweight technology), Sport (racing as a testing ground for technology), and Technology (next-generation technologies like hybrids)." Ulrich Hackenberg, Audi AG's Board Member for Technical Development, expressed confidence in the plug-in hybrid model, the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron: "It achieves low fuel consumption while ensuring a range of 940 kilometers using both the motor and engine. It represents the best solution available at this time."

Alongside the A3 Sportback e-tron, the display featured the big sports sedan Audi S8 delivering 520 horsepower, the compact Audi A3 Sedan, and various models from the RS sports series. The hybrid racing car R18 e-tron quattro, winner of last year's Le Mans 24 Hours, also drew significant attention.

The booth entertained visitors with the "Audi Progressive Style" fashion show, curated by fashion magazine VOGUE JAPAN, and talk shows. Audi also stationed "Audi Experts"—staff with deep Audi knowledge—to provide guidance and consulting within the booth.
