At the Staff Meal Festival, Enjoy the "staff meals" of those famous restaurants.

Intelligence, part of the comprehensive human resources service group PERSOL, is running the "an Makanaifesu 2017" event at a special venue in Nakano Shikinomori Park, Tokyo, for four days starting May 25th.
This outdoor gourmet event offers "staff meals" from popular restaurants for just one coin. Following the success of the 2016 Tokyo event, which drew approximately 64,000 visitors, this year's festival expanded to three areas, including Osaka and Nagoya. The Tokyo venue marks the finale. The Osaka and Nagoya venues collectively recorded 100,000 visitors.

An opening ceremony was held on the first day to commemorate the event's start.
At the outset, Tatsuya Uchido, Editor-in-Chief of "an," highlighted the critical situation facing the dining-out industry due to unprecedented staffing shortages. He explained that "an" considered how it could contribute to the industry. Recognizing that "staff meals" are a major motivation for working in restaurants, they decided to host this festival to convey that appeal to job seekers.

Ryucheru, a celebrity who worked part-time at a yakiniku restaurant throughout his three years of high school, rushed to the venue wearing a school uniform. He commented with anticipation, "I'll never forget the staff meals back then. The dishes from famous restaurants available at this festival are sure to be delicious!" Representatives from 15 restaurants took the stage alongside photo panels of the staff meals they would serve at the venue. These included "Nishiazabu Kenshiro," the top-ranked restaurant from the previous event; the notoriously hard-to-book "Niku-yama"; "Kisurin," making its debut at an outdoor gourmet event; and "Da Giorgio," winner of Japan's top pizza competition.
Ryucheru chose the "Premium Wagyu Beef Udon" from the renowned Sanuki udon shop "Hana wa Saku" as the staff meal he most wanted to sample, and attempted to plate it himself. When the shop owner remarked, commented, "Your work ethic is top-notch. I wish you'd work part-time here twice a week!" Ryuchell then joked, "Peko-rin would come along to my part-time job, so please take care of us," making the audience laugh. He concluded, "Staff meals after a hard day's work give you the energy to keep pushing forward, right?"

Throughout the event period, daily stage content will include talk shows featuring talents like Onono Noka and a big-eating challenge by "Queen of Gluttony" Moe no Azuki. Members of the gourmet blogger unit "Tabearu King," known for their food-tasting expertise, will also liven up the event.
