(

To mark the site's launch, celebrity SHELLY, a mother of one, was appointed as a special researcher. Her inauguration ceremony was held on the 5th at Spiral Hall in Minato Ward, Tokyo.

Hiroshi Ito, Manager of the Baby Diaper Group, introduced the product concept: "Since its launch in 1983, Merries has prioritized gentleness on baby's skin. We pioneered Japan's first fully breathable sheet to expel moisture, consistently focusing on bringing smiles to parents and children." Regarding the site, he stated, "We aim to enhance user satisfaction by sharing tips and information on 'baby comfort' from three perspectives: heart, skin, and diapers."
SHELLY, who practices parenting focused on "baby comfort," received a white coat and glasses on stage. She expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I want to study hard, become a little smarter, and be a good mom."

When facing parenting challenges, she mentioned that sisters who gave birth to girls around the same time are good confidants. However, she also emphasized the website's necessity, saying, "If I'm still unsure, I consult my own mother. If that doesn't work, I look it up online."
SHELLY shared that she learned babies are born with a sense of "comfort," and that among the five senses, touch develops first. She explained that stimulation like skin-to-skin contact eases anxiety and builds trust between parent and child. "I heard that quickly understanding why they're crying builds trust. Anyway, I hold them a lot," she revealed.

After testing the waterproof and breathable properties of the sheets used in the product, SHELLY remarked in surprise, "It's amazing how air can pass through but water doesn't leak," and seemed convinced, adding, "We've always used Merries. They really are the best choice!"
When presented with a stuffed rabbit mascot character, she beamed with maternal pride: "My daughter will love it. When I leave her diapers out, she gives the rabbit picture kisses. Isn't that adorable?" Asked about a joyful parenting moment, she beamed, "You asked the right question! This morning, she called me 'Mommy' for the very first time. I was so moved."

Eighteen mothers raising children were also invited to the inauguration ceremony and participated in the research. After experiencing the "Diaper Environment Box," which recreates the stuffiness that is the enemy of comfort, they shared their impressions: "I didn't realize diapers got this stuffy. It was a great opportunity to think about how babies feel."
