Athlete Daiya Seto, dressed in a yukata, expressed his determination for the 2020 Games.

On August 4, the Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games held a talk event featuring competitive swimmer Daiya Seto at the select store "HINKA RINKA" inside Tokyu Plaza Ginza in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. The event aimed to build excitement for the summer three years before the Tokyo Games.
The store is one of the retailers selling official Tokyo 2020 licensed merchandise.

Setoappeared wearing the official yukata, which went on sale in July.
Reflecting on the recent World Aquatics Championships in Budapest where he won two bronze medals, Seto stated, "I was so frustrated I could have cried because I didn't win gold."
He mentioned it was his first time having a yukata properly dressed for him, adding with satisfaction, "Tokyo is more humid than Budapest, but the yukata is cool and comfortable." Regarding his summer plans, he stated, "I'm participating in the Universiade this month, so I'm heading to practice today too," but then smiled and added, "If I get some free time, I'd like to go to a fireworks festival wearing this yukata."
Seto, who often visits Ginza, shared a memory: "The day after announcing my marriage, I came shopping here and was happy to receive many well-wishes from people."

 

Learning that the event "Ginbura in Yukata 2017" ( http://www.ginza.jp/topics/8357 ) would be held on the weekend of the 6th, and that the store would offer a dressing service as a perk for yukata purchases that day, Seto commented, "The yukata patterns are simple and stylish, so I'd definitely want to wear one to an event like that. The dressing service seems like it would be popular with overseas travelers too."
