Toyota Motor Corporation has created "clean air billboards" for its fuel cell vehicle (FCV) "MIRAI" to promote the concept of "cars that don't pollute the air." These billboards are displayed in three cities: Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. The Mirai runs on hydrogen, a promising future energy source, generating its own electricity through a chemical reaction with oxygen in the air. It is the "ultimate eco-car," combining high environmental performance with zero CO₂ emissions during operation, convenience comparable to gasoline vehicles (like hydrogen refueling time and range), and driving enjoyment. It was launched in 2014 as the world's first mass-produced sedan-type FCV.

The signboard itself features a special photocatalytic coating, capable of removing 22.2 mg/day of nitrogen oxides (NOx) per square meter of coated surface.
During the display period (September 29, 2017 to September 28, 2018), it is calculated to provide an air purification effect equivalent to approximately 5,840 vehicles.
