DMM.com Securities Press Conference on Image Character and "Banushi"

On April 9, DMM.com Securities held a press conference at its headquarters in Minato Ward, Tokyo. This event commemorated the selection of a new image character for its online domestic stock trading service "DMM Stock," launched on April 4, and the participation of horses from its racehorse fund service "DMM Banushi" in graded stakes races.

DMM Stocks offers tools designed for investment beginners, featuring the industry's lowest commission rates alongside robust functionality that satisfies active traders.
Appearing on stage was freelance announcer Ayako Kato, newly appointed as the company's image character, who unveiled the key visual to be used going forward. The catchphrase is "Want to try stocks?"
Ms. Kato stated, "I'm honored to be chosen. Since I'm not well-versed in stocks, I'll serve as the representative beginner. This year's theme is 'Challenge,' so I want to use this opportunity to broaden my horizons."

Playing on the theme of stock price predictions, Kato presented her own future projection through 2020 as a line graph. She explained, "After a peak until 2020, I hope to hit major milestones like marriage and childbirth. Then, while experiencing the challenges of married life and raising children, I want to see a gradual upward trend." She added, "I believe DMM Stocks offers a service that satisfies everyone from beginners to active traders. I encourage people to try trading once."

During the second part of the press conference on DMM Banushi, Takumi Nomoto, who oversees the business, explained that eight months after the service launched, membership has reached approximately 19,000 people. He reported that the stable's horse, "Kitano Commandor," will run in the 78th Satsuki Sho (G1) on April 15th.
The horse, which has won two races since its debut, is sired by the famous Deep Impact.
Talent Takeshi Kitano, who also named the horse and "Kitano Impact," appeared on stage. He joked, "At first, I wanted to name it Kitano San Black, but that was rejected. If I'd named it 'Office Kitano Impact,' it might have veered off course right after the start!"
Kitano further announced the third horse he named would be "Kitano Blue," explaining the name reflects the overseas acclaim for his films.

After trainer Yasutaka Ikee and jockey Mirco Demuro gave their stamp of approval for Kitano Commandor, Kitano declared his prediction for the Satsuki Sho: "Confirmed! Commandor wins first place‼ By a landslide!" He then joked, "I'm so hyped, I want him to do another lap. If Commandor doesn't win, I'll retire," drawing laughter from the audience.
Nomoto stated his conviction: "With the finest pedigree, top-tier trainer and jockey involved, and Japan's greatest talent as its namesake, Commandor will definitely win." He added, "The ultimate goal is the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. I definitely want to challenge with this team."
