Georgia New Product Announcement Hirose and Katsuchi: "Nice surprise~!"
Coca-Cola held a launch event for its new "GEORGIA JAPAN CRAFTSMAN" product under the "GEORGIA" brand on April 18 at Bellesalle Jinbocho Annex in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.
The new products are "GEORGIA JAPAN CRAFTSMAN BLACK" and "GEORGIA JAPAN CRAFTSMAN CAFE LATTE." These PET-bottled coffees offer the uniquely gentle mouthfeel and transparent richness characteristic of slow-brewed cold-drip coffee, available nationwide starting May 14 (with a limited pre-release starting April 23).
To coincide, a new TV commercial titled "Suddenly, Commentary" featuring actress Alice Hirose and actor Ryo Katsuji will air. The unique spot shows Katsuji suddenly appearing before Hirose as she picks up the product at a convenience store, passionately explaining its deliciousness.
Eisuke Wakiwaka, Manager of the Marketing Division, stated, "We employed Japan-specific technology and manufacturing methods to achieve a flavor profile that best suits Japanese palates, combined with an unprecedented new type of packaging. What we needed for this was Japanese craftsmanship. The product was developed through Japan's delicate techniques and relentless effort, which have influenced the world."
CM characters Katsuji and Hirose appeared on stage for a talk show.
After tasting "Black," Mr. Katsuji commented, "When memorizing scripts, I do it at home while drinking coffee. I like that you can sip it slowly from the bottle. The taste is also refreshing, making it perfect for the coming season." Ms. Hirose tried the "Cafe Latte" and remarked, "It gives a different impression from cafe lattes I've had before. It's incredibly smooth, not overly sweet, and very easy to drink."
Comedian Hyokkori-han, currently trending and appearing as a cafe manager, quizzed the two on the secret to the product's deliciousness. He drew laughter by suddenly popping up on the side of the correct answer and delivering his signature line, "Nice pop-up~!" He also summarized his tasting impressions with "Nice refreshing~!", tying it to his signature gag.
Impressed by Hyokkori-han's comical movements, Katsuji and Hirose frequently broke into laughter during the talk and struck the "Hyokkori" pose. The event concluded with all three together shouting "Nice Hyokkori~!"
