Marudai Foods signed a sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee on April 13, becoming an Official Supporter of Tokyo 2020.
The contract covers the categories of ham, sausage, wiener, bacon, fish sausage, kamaboko, roast pork, and spare ribs.
President Tokuo Hyakusai commented, "Since 1986, our company has supported the promotion of sports in Japan as a partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee. Looking ahead to 2020, we want to cheer on the Japanese national teams competing in the Tokyo Games and also offer encouragement through food to the new dreams born in children inspired by top athletes."
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori stated, "We are delighted to welcome this company, which has pursued the production of safe and secure food since its founding in 1958, as an Official Supporter. As an Organizing Committee that includes 'passing on to the future' as one of the Games' core concepts, we greatly appreciate their corporate activities focused on providing healthier products to children through 'food'."
