Georgia Campaign Launch Event All New CM Cast Members Gather Together

Japan Coca-Cola launched its 2019 brand campaign for the coffee beverage "Georgia" on January 21st, holding a launch event at the Jiji Press Hall in Chuo Ward, Tokyo.

Under its ongoing campaign "The World is Made of Someone's Work" (running since 2014), Georgia will now roll out initiatives supporting people who strive forward, driven by various sources of fulfillment like job satisfaction and personal growth, under the new message "That's why I can keep going."
The company will release the new product "Georgia Deep Black" on the day of the announcement event, the "Georgia Fragrant Series" Black, Light Sugar, and Blend on February 4, and the series' Cafe Latte on March 18.

Actors Takayuki Yamada, Shota Sometani, Alice Hirose, and Kumiko Aso, who appear in the TV commercial "That's why I can keep going," airing from January 22nd, made a special appearance at the venue.
In the commercial, Yamada, the face of Georgia, and the other three actors appear in roles representing various professions. They convey that each person has a driving force that keeps them positively engaged in their work, and that's why they can keep going.

On stage, the four toasted with their favorite Georgia products before discussing work, the commercial, and coffee.
Yamada remarked about Sometani, his co-star since 2018, "He seems to be opening up to me lately," to which Sometani responded, "I've been open from the start," drawing laughter. Hirose confessed that the scene cycling up a hill used an electric bicycle. Aso, appearing in a Georgia commercial for the first time, said, "I was happy because it's a commercial I've liked for a long time."

When presented with survey responses about "job satisfaction" – such as "being useful to society," "overcoming difficult tasks," and "recognition from others" – all four expressed agreement, stating acting shares these values in their own words.

Regarding coffee, all four emphasized its indispensable role, describing it as "essential for shifting moods" and "a friend that gives moments of happiness." They shared their personal sources of fulfillment: "seeing fans and staff smile," "the energy gained on set," and "the unity among workmates," unanimously agreeing that Georgia is integral to these experiences.

Finally, Yamada shared a message: "Since appearing in the commercial, I've received many compliments, including that I gave people courage. I want to continue doing work that makes people feel that way."
