■ Official Payment Card "TOKYO 2020 OFFICIAL CARD"

The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee began issuing the "TOKYO 2020 OFFICIAL CARD" on January 21.
The card comes in two types: credit card and prepaid card, both with no annual fee. The card brand is Visa, a Worldwide Olympic Partner, and can be used at Visa member stores worldwide, including online.
Beyond purchasing Games tickets, it offers convenience during the Games period as purchases at venues will also be Visa payments, except for cash. Furthermore, it supports the "Visa Contactless IC Payment Service," enabling cashless payments at compatible stores with a simple tap on the reader.
The card issuer is Sumitomo Mitsui Card.
Card designs come in three patterns each for credit and prepaid cards. From the perspectives of "celebratory mood" and "traditional colors," the credit card uses the Games' theme color "indigo blue," while the prepaid card uses "crimson red." Designs feature the emblem and Games mascot.
Applications for these cards can be made via the Tokyo 2020 official website ( https://tokyo2020.org/jp/special/card/ ).
