KADOKAWA, primarily engaged in publishing, announced on April 10 that it has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee and has been designated an Official Supporter of Tokyo 2020.
The contract category is "Book and Magazine Publishing Services."
President Makoto Matsubara commented, "Since our founding in 1945, guided by our corporate philosophy of 'Fuyu-Furyu' (timelessness and change), we have produced diverse and innovative content while remaining rooted in tradition and maintaining a spirit of continuous challenge. For the Tokyo Games, we aim to contribute to the event's success by delivering information and memorable moments to the many visitors from around the world through our publishing services."
Organizing Committee Chairman Yoshiro Mori commented, "We have high expectations that KADOKAWA, which has long supported Japan's cultural endeavors, will help us deliver the excitement of the Games to as many people as possible through its publishing services."
