First Jumbo Lottery of the Reiwa Era Goes on Sale Mr. Sato and Mr. Kamiki Discuss Their 700 Million Yen Dream

Japan's first jumbo lottery tickets of the Reiwa era, the "Summer Jumbo Lottery" and "Summer Jumbo Mini," went on sale nationwide on July 2nd.
On the same day, a commemorative launch event was held on a special stage in front of the Nishi-Ginza Chance Center in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. This center, with over 50 years of history, is known for its high-value winning tickets.

Ms. Ai Hayakawa, the lottery's "Goddess of Fortune," stated, "The Summer Jumbo Lottery offers an attractive high prize pool: the first prize is 500 million yen, with the front and back prizes each worth 100 million yen, totaling 700 million yen for the first prize and front/back prizes combined. The Summer Jumbo Mini offers a combined first prize and adjacent prize total of 50 million yen, with 40 tickets for the 30 million yen first prize and 80 tickets for the 10 million yen adjacent prize, providing many chances for big wins."

She also announced that the "Lottery Points" system, previously available only on the official lottery website, has now launched at retail outlets. New features like "Group Purchases" and "Gift Purchases" have been added to the official website. "These are new services letting you buy Jumbo Lottery tickets at great value. Please enjoy the excitement and thrill of summer!" she urged.

During the talk session, actor Takeru Satoh, who stars in the new Jumbo Lottery TV commercial, and Ryunosuke Kamiki, who appears in commercials for "Bingo 5" and others, made an appearance wearing yukata.

Regarding his appointment as the CM character for the Jumbo Lottery, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, Sato commented, "It's an honor to appear in such a historic commercial. The atmosphere on set with Master Tsurube is great and fun." He added, "I love wearing yukata and seeing them," and praised Kamiki's outfit, saying, "It's very nice. The obi is excellent."
Kamiki revealed his obi, explaining, "The obi is the focal point," showcasing a design featuring an arrow hitting a target, symbolizing lottery wins. Regarding Sato's yukata, he beamed, "He's just too cool! I can't handle it! I'm looking forward to seeing the summer-limited version of Takeru Sato."

When asked what they'd buy each other if they won 700 million yen, Sato answered, "A planetarium." He revealed his grand plan: "Kamiki-kun has been asking for one forever, but I can't find a good one. So I'd use the entire amount to buy a real one."
Kamiki then sent a love call: "I'd buy Takeru Sato a mansion. But I'd get a spare key so I could visit anytime. That's all part of the package." This drew loud laughter from the audience.
Sato responded with a wry smile, "I'd love to live in a 700 million yen mansion... but I wouldn't know when Kamiki would show up. That would make for some thrilling days."

When Sato shared his own 700 million yen dream—"I want to treat Kamiki to delicious food. Meat and sushi, you know. With 700 million yen, I could keep it up for about 10 years"—Kamiki remarked, "I thought about it a lot, but I ended up choosing Takeru Sato. I hope he finds happiness," showcasing their close bond once more. They then decorated bamboo branches with strips of paper bearing their respective dreams.
