Nippon Life Insurance, a Gold Partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), is running its "Go for it! Nippon! Project" ahead of the Sochi Winter Olympics opening on February 7. The campaign includes TV commercials and promotional activities.
The "Daisuke Bottle" commercial features figure skater Daisuke Takahashi. Using footage from competitions and his childhood, it depicts his journey continuing in the sport since childhood, supported by those around him, interwoven with the story of the "Daisuke Bottle" fundraising initiative. The "Our Family Rule" commercial features mogul skier Miki Ito. It connects her childhood environment—where family weekends meant hitting the slopes—to her current success, expressed through family photos and competition footage. Both versions feature the popular duo Yuzu's new song "Hikare" in the background. This song was created by Yuzu based on "words that supported people when overcoming barriers," collected from the public during last year's "Everyone's Words × Yuzu New Song Creation Project."
The company is running the "Go for it! Nippon! Send Your Support Campaign," where posting support messages for athletes Takahashi and Ito online enters you into a lottery for home appliances and other prizes, as well as the closed campaign "Go for it! Nippon! Shine! Your Future Campaign."
