"UQ" New TV Commercial Those "Three Sisters" perform a Showa-era idol-style dance (Dance video available)
UQ Communications and UQ Mobile Okinawa began airing a new TV commercial titled "Family UQ Mobile" on March 1.
The commercial features the "three sisters"—actresses Kyoko Fukada, Mika Tabe, and Mei Nagano—now in their fourth year of appearing in UQ Mobile commercials, along with Pink Gacha (Mom) and Bloomku (Dad). They continue to promote the "UQ Student Discount," which offers savings on basic smartphone fees for users under 18 and their families.
The CM song is a rewritten version of "Lonely Tropical Fish" by the female duo Wink, which gained attention upon its 1989 release. The three sisters, dressed in pastel-colored retro fashion, perform a Showa-era idol-style dance to the tune. The dance was supervised by the same choreographer as the original song.
