All Free New TV Commercial Surfing the Waves with the "Nanao Pose" (Making-of Footage Available)

Suntory Beer will begin airing a new TV commercial featuring actress Nanao titled "Refreshing Surfing" starting March 7th, coinciding with the relaunch of its non-alcoholic beer-flavored beverage "All Free".

 

The commercial expresses the refreshing qualities of the new product—featuring a redesigned package and offering a smooth throat feel and "clean aftertaste"—using motifs of surfing, the blue sea, and the sky.
Nanao challenges big waves on her surfboard under a blue sky. With an expression full of exhilaration, she promotes the product message: "Aim for it! Refreshment beyond beer."

 

Nanao challenged herself with three poses on a moving surfboard. These included a pose resembling a figure skating spiral, a yoga pigeon pose, and the show-stopping "Nanao Pose."
This self-invented pose involves bending forward with legs crossed while facing backward. She has performed it in various settings, making it widely recognized. Despite the unstable, floating surfboard, Nanao mastered it with exceptional core strength and flexibility. She reportedly remarked, "I never imagined I'd appear in a commercial doing this pose..."
