The new "Jumbo Lottery" character will star in a series of commercials featuring five unique siblings (video available).

The 2020 "Jumbo Lottery" TV commercials will feature a new series of brand commercials in addition to the existing sales announcement ads. The goal is to convey the appeal and enjoyment of the lottery, primarily targeting younger generations who have never purchased a lottery ticket before.

Five actors were cast as characters for the brand commercials. They include: Satoshi, the eldest son and "Jumbo Brother" who loves the Jumbo Lottery, played by Satoshi Tsumabuki; the pure and gentle eldest daughter, Riho (played by Riho Yoshioka), the airheaded second son Ryo (played by Ryo Narita), the cheerful third son Yuma (played by Yuma Yamoto), and the trendy gal second daughter Mio (played by Mio Imada). These five unique siblings discover the appeal of the Jumbo Lottery through their lively and quirky interactions.

The first installment, "Jumbo Lottery: 'Jumbo Brother, Teach Me'," airs starting April 17.
The four siblings, excluding eldest brother Satoshi, have lived thinking "Money isn't everything...". However, seeing their friend's luxury car and lavish lifestyle, and dreaming of studying abroad, sparks their interest in the Jumbo Lottery.
Rushing home as if to shake off their past thoughts, the four siblings plead in unison to their eldest brother Satoshi, "Teach us about the Jumbo Lottery!" "I've been waiting for this!" declares Satoshi as he appears. After hearing their dreams, he proclaims, "I'll teach you everything about the Jumbo! Follow me!" and extends his hand over the lottery tickets on the table.
As everyone's hands came together, Satoshi shouted "Jumbo!" But the other four's shouts were scattered, making it a rather lackluster rallying cry. Finally, following the second daughter Mio's cool remark, "We gotta decide," the scene ends with a shot of the five of them happily running through the shopping district.
The tagline reads: "Our lottery begins."

In a post-shoot interview, when asked about being cast as a new character, Tsumabuki commented, "I've appeared in a 'Lotto' commercial before, so it feels like I've come back. I'm excited, thinking there must be lots of fun things ahead." He added, "The appeal of the Jumbo is its luxury, right? Everyone buys a dream. I want to keep promoting it more and more."
