JAL Supporting the Japan National Team from the Skies and the Ground

Japan Airlines, an Official Partner of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), is supporting the Japanese delegation competing in the Sochi Winter Olympics and Paralympics by deploying a specially painted aircraft and installing a special display featuring competition motifs at Haneda Airport Terminal. This initiative aims to cheer on the Japanese delegation and boost excitement for the Games from both the skies and the ground.

The specially painted aircraft (Boeing 777-300) features the message "Ganbare! Nippon!" ("Go for it, Japan!") and a large image of figure skater Mao Asada. It will operate primarily on routes connecting Tokyo (Haneda) and Okinawa (Naha) until mid-March. This is the second specially painted aircraft; the first, featuring the "Nippon! Call Project" logo, has been operating on domestic routes since last October. Related article: dentsu-ho.com/articles/336/

Inside Haneda Airport Terminal 1, banners and lenticular advertisements have been displayed to help passengers feel closer to the competition. Floor and staircase displays are also attracting attention.
