Message from the Organizers
This marks the fifth iteration of the Asahi Global Conference, which was renamed from the Asahi Global Environment Forum held from 2008 to 2015.
This year's theme is "Five Days for a New Future." The spread of the novel coronavirus has profoundly impacted not only our lifestyles but also international relations and the global economy. When the pandemic subsides, can we return to our former daily lives? If not, what changes must we make and how should we proceed to build a better world? Through discussions with domestic and international experts, policymakers, and representatives from corporations and NPOs, we hope the Asahi Global Conference will serve as a forum for all participants to consider pathways toward the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
