At its February 4th board meeting, the Japan Advertising Association decided the recipients of the 49th Hideo Yoshida Memorial Award, presented to individuals and groups who have contributed to the development and advancement of the advertising industry.
The Individual Award was given to Isao Takano (former President of Daiko Advertising). The Meritorious Service Award was given to Satoru Kasai (former Secretary General of the Japan Advertising Association).
Since assuming the position of Vice Chairman of the Japan Advertising Association in 2006, Mr. Takano contributed to the development and advancement of the advertising industry through his work with the association. In particular, as head of the Transaction Rationalization Committee, he worked to improve the transaction environment. He also dedicated himself to the development of the advertising industry in the Kansai region as Chairman of the Osaka Advertising Agencies Association.
Mr. Kawanishi joined the Japan Advertising Association in 1975. For 38 years, he contributed to the smooth execution of the association's projects as a staff member. From 1999, he served as Secretary General, dedicating himself to the sound development of the advertising industry. He also served as Secretary General of the "National Advertising Industry Organizations Liaison Council," composed of advertising industry groups from across Japan.
