The Japan Professional Football League (J.League) has been collaborating with various broadcasters to air soccer programs in five regions—Fukushima, Toyama, Ehime, Kumamoto, and Kagoshima—since last October. Starting this April, the broadcast area will expand to 30 regions (45 prefectures) (see table below).
The programs will broadly introduce soccer-related topics from each region, ranging from youth soccer information for children playing soccer and those interested in the sport to information about J.League clubs.
The launch of these programs in each region marks the first step toward realizing the J.League's growth strategy: "60 Clubs Shining in Their Respective Regions." The goal is to use the program launch as a catalyst to increase interest in soccer and the clubs within each region, promote the spread of soccer, and help the clubs become more prominent and influential entities locally.
This program marks the first initiative where 30 terrestrial broadcasters across Japan, transcending network affiliations, will produce original programs under the same title and concept. The program title "KICK OFF!" (followed by the region name) is unified across all 30 regions, symbolizing a kickoff for the future of Japanese soccer. The program title logo also features a unified design.
