SBI Alapro, a subsidiary of SBI Holdings that manufactures and sells health foods and cosmetics primarily containing ALA (5-aminolevulinic acid), began airing a new TV commercial for its energy supplement "Alaplus" series on February 27. The supplement targets "active adults who want to stay true to themselves," featuring singer Hiromi Go as its image character.
Ahead of the broadcast start, a new CM launch event was held at Izumi Garden in Roppongi, Tokyo, on the 24th. President Yasushi Takezaki explained the product and stated, "We named the 40s to 60s generation who stay youthful and keep challenging themselves the 'Ala GO Generation'. We chose Mr. Go as its symbol." The "Ala GO Energizes the Town!" edition features a story set in a sluggish shopping district where Hiroomi starts dancing energetically, revitalizing both the town and its people. Hiroomi also sings the CM song.
Taking the stage, Gō-san delivered an encouraging message: "I've been a long-time fan of Ara Plus. I hope people, regardless of age, will challenge themselves to pursue their passions and find a new second chapter in life." A surprise flash mob-style performance unfolded at the venue: dancers disguised as reporters suddenly took the stage, joining a flustered Gō-san to perform the same dance seen in the commercial.
The commercial can be viewed on the company's website ( sbi-alapromo.co.jp/cmgallery/ ).
