President Tsuga and IOC President Bach at the signing ceremony

As part of its "Wonders! by Panasonic" campaign, Panasonic published full-page color advertisements in five major national newspapers and five sports newspapers on February 24, the day after the Sochi Olympics closed, while also airing TV commercials. Since 1988, Panasonic has been the only Japanese company serving as a Worldwide Olympic Partner, contributing to the operation of each Games by providing numerous video and broadcast equipment, security cameras, and more. On the eve of the Sochi Games opening, Panasonic signed a new partnership agreement with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), extending its partnership through 2024.
The ad highlights this fact, stating that the company will continue refining its video and broadcasting technology for the Rio, PyeongChang, and Tokyo Games. This aims to create a "7 billion-person stadium," enabling the world to share the power and excitement of the Games anytime, anywhere. The tagline is "To TOKYO, where the world gets excited." A TV commercial titled "Sign Continued" is also airing with a similar message. It shows President Kazuhiro Tsuga signing the contract, and the lines of his signature then form various Olympic scenes. It conveys the message: "I kept signing because I wanted to keep creating images that would stay in everyone's memory." It can be viewed on the company's video portal site ( http://ch.panasonic.net/jp).
