"Advertisements That Just Get Through" Ad Museum Tokyo, December 6–25

Dentsu Inc. and the Hideo Yoshida Memorial Foundation will host the exhibition event "Ads That Just Click," where visitors can experience advertising that transcends logic, at the Ad Museum Tokyo from Friday, December 6 to Wednesday, December 25.

In recent years, logic and efficiency have been prioritized in all forms of information communication, and the advertising production field is no exception. However, rooted in a cultural background that values "unspoken meaning" and "the beauty of negative space," Japanese advertising has a history of aiming for "expressions that touch the heart," transcending mere information delivery.

This exhibition allows visitors to experience the charm of that "something" through ads that somehow tug at your heartstrings, make your heart flutter, or stir your emotions—ads that transcend logic and "just resonate." Additionally, coinciding with this exhibition, the "Caretta Shiodome 'Something' Resonates Exhibition" will be held within Caretta Shiodome, where visitors can experience advertisements from various stores.

[Comment from Mr. Malick]
Magic is the art of delivering pure surprise and delight to the audience
delivering pure surprise and enjoyment to the audience.
In a way, that's a bit like advertising.
That power to convey something "just somehow"—even when you can't explain why—is surprisingly strong.
