■Story
One night, a hero vanished.
A moving epic depicting the friendship and struggles of young people who raced toward freedom in Okinawa under American occupation.
Why did the hero vanish? What truth did his three childhood friends uncover 20 years later?
During the era when Okinawa was under American rule, there were youths known as "War Booty Agia" who distributed supplies stolen from US military bases to the residents. Three childhood friends—Gusuku (Satoshi Tsumabuki), Yamako (Suzu Hirose), and Rei (Masataka Kubota)—dreamed of one day achieving a "big haul."Their hero and leader, the eldest, was On (Eita Nagayama). One night, during a raid where they risked everything, On obtained an "unplanned booty" and suddenly vanished without a trace...The three left behind carry the memory of "the true hero On aspired to be." Eventually, Gusuku becomes a detective, Yamako a teacher, and Rei a yakuza. Each begins walking their own path, chasing On's shadow. However, in an environment dominated by America and abandoned by the mainland, nothing goes as planned. Their pent-up frustration and anger boil over, and an incident triggers an explosion of suppressed emotions.
Soon, the U.S. military also begins moving, pursuing the "something" On took from the base.
What was the "unplanned spoils of war" the vanished hero had obtained? And what is the shocking truth revealed after 20 long years?
