The first antenna shop, "MONO SHOP," displaying and selling regional products from across Japan, has opened in the atrium zone on the 5th floor of the commercial facility "CentralWorld" in Bangkok, Thailand. This was reported by NNA, which distributes economic information in Asia.
The shop name "MONO" is derived from M=Manufacturing, O=Hospitality, N=Nippon (Japan), O=Interesting. The approximately 80-square-meter store carries around 800 items, including food and crafts produced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across Japan. In addition to sales at the store, plans include active promotion through events in Bangkok.
The Japan Federation of Small Business Associations established the shop to help SMEs, who often find independent overseas expansion difficult, develop sales channels. The aim is not merely to sell Japanese products but to strengthen the connection between Thai consumers and Japanese culture through these goods. By locating the shop in the highly accessible CentralWorld mall in the city center, significant promotional impact is anticipated.
