 "The Importance of One"

This award aims to deepen young people's understanding of public service advertising through ad creation and foster a sense of civic engagement. A record 176 entries from 28 schools were submitted, with Nihon University's "Someone's Meal" (theme: food waste) winning the Grand Prix. Addressing the global issue of food waste, it clearly conveyed the importance of food resources and the problem of waste from a relatable, student-like perspective.

The Runner-up Grand Prize and BS Commercial Broadcasters Award went to Nihon University's "The Importance of One" (theme: youth disengagement from elections). Both the Grand Prize and Runner-up Grand Prize entries will air as AC commercials on eight BS channels for one year starting in July.

Additionally, three category awards, one special jury award, seventeen excellence awards, and seventeen encouragement awards were selected.

At the awards ceremony, following an address by Executive Director Yuji Kano and a screening of the winning entries, the various awards were presented. Selection Committee Chair Toshiharu Ishii (Executive Creative Director, Asatsu-DK) commented: "The Grand Prix entry used just one scene from an ordinary student cafeteria to convey its message very clearly while offering a fresh perspective. It wasn't conceived from a lofty position, but rather as if speaking to a friend. In creating your Student Award entries, I hope you learned that it's important not just to talk, but to truly engage with your audience. Please don't forget this feeling you have now."
