In the latest edition of the "Network Diagnostics" report by RECMA (Research Company Evaluating the Media Agency Industry), an independent research organization in the media industry, Dentsu Inc. Aegis Network's KARA was selected as the top global media network.
The report evaluated 700 media agencies across 44 countries and regions, assessing 16 to 19 key metrics per country across four categories: "Competitiveness," "Driving Force," "Resource Strength," and "Client Profile." Rankings were determined by factoring in each country's market size.
According to RECMA, Carat holds a 12.6% share of the global media market, significantly outpacing second-place Omnicom Media Agencies (OMD) and MediaCom (GroupM), as well as fourth-place Mindshare (GroupM).
By country, Carat ranked first in seven countries/regions: the US, China, Canada, Denmark, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. It also ranked highly in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Canada, the Philippines, and New Zealand. Regionally, it ranked first in North America and APAC (Asia-Pacific), and third in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa), behind MediaCom and MEC (GroupM).
Doug Ray, Global President of Carat, stated, "Achieving this level of success requires being number one or two in the world's major media markets. We consistently demonstrated strength and maintained our position across many countries. This is the result of the efforts of everyone in the network."
