『GOLD』×『LEON』×Honda F1 Event in Roppongi

On March 5th, the event "The eve of F1 Exciting Night" was held at "CoLoR. TOKYO NIGHT CAFE" in Minato Ward, Tokyo. It was organized through the cooperation of the women's magazine 'GOLD' (Sekai Bunka Publishing), the men's magazine 'LEON' (Shufu to Seikatsu Sha), and Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

This event was held to build excitement for Honda's return to racing, as the season opener of Formula One (F1), the pinnacle of motorsports, the Australian Grand Prix, was set to begin on March 13th with Honda partnering with the McLaren team.

The venue gathered dressed-up readers and associates of both magazines. Food inspired by the official F1 champagne "G.H. Mumm" and the McLaren team's symbolic red color was served.

Following a toast led by Shinobu Uchiyama, Editor-in-Chief of 'GOLD', and Yoichiro Maeda, Editor-in-Chief of 'LEON', guests took the stage: model Risa Hirako and talent Girolamo Panzetta.

Ms. Hirako, whose first job was as a reporter for the Monaco GP, Mr. Girolamo, who has watched races since childhood, and Editor-in-Chief Maeda, an F1 enthusiast, engaged in a lively talk about memorable races and ways to enjoy the sport.

On the fashion stage, models Sayo Aizawa and Nanae Ikata appeared. Both showcased F1 viewing fashion styled by Editor-in-Chief Uchiyama. The editor advised, "It's also wonderful to consider coordinating outfits to match the image of the country hosting the Grand Prix."

 

From March 4th, Sogo & Seibu's Seibu Ikebukuro Main Store, Shibuya Store, and Sogo Yokohama Store will host "The F1 Exhibition: The Magnificent World of Formula One," an event showcasing the appeal of F1. With Honda's cooperation, the exhibition features the latest McLaren Honda machine for this season and related items, along with content enjoyable for children and women.
