Recruit Marketing Partners held the live event "Juken Suppari Presents: Dance! Sing! Grand Graduation Ceremony!" at Toyosu PIT in Koto Ward, Tokyo, on March 24th. This event was part of a campaign for "Juken Suppari," an online learning service for high school students.
The service ( http://jyukensapuri.jp/ ) is a paid web service that delivers the best lessons to high school students anytime, anywhere, featuring lecture videos by charismatic instructors.
This time, it invited approximately 2,000 students who had submitted their exam success stories to celebrate their high school graduation and university entrance with a live event.
At the shout of "Start!" by the company's Exam Supporter Producer, Shinji Matsuo, and host talent Akie Suzuki, the popular rock band Kishidan took the stage and powerfully performed four songs. Leader Sho Ayakoji shared memories of his own time moving to Tokyo, cheering the audience on with "Keep studying hard, play a lot, and fall in love plenty!" He also drew laughs with comments like, "If you don't get hyped for our stage, you won't get to meet Nogizaka-chan!"
The selected members of idol group Nogizaka46 performed five songs, including "Life is Beautiful," which topped the Oricon CD Single Daily Ranking that same day, receiving cheers that rivaled those for Kishidan. Members shared, "It's our first live show just for our generation, so we're hyped up," and "We hope you enjoy this time after overcoming your entrance exams."
A giant graduation certificate was displayed at the venue. Everyone sang "Look Up to the Sky" together and took commemorative photos. While the stage was still buzzing with excitement, "Nogidan"—a seven- member band formed from Nogizaka46 members—took the stage. Nogidan was originally a one-night-only band formed for a 2014 live event featuring Nogizaka46 and Kishidan. They handle not only vocals but also guitar, bass, drums, and keyboard.
Ayakoji-san praised their high level of skill, and they made a comeback at this live event.
Nogidan, Kishidan, and Nogizaka46 collaborated to perform Kishidan's hit song "One Night Carnival," bringing the venue's atmosphere to its peak for the day.
