Decoded Fashion (DF), a global event connecting fashion and technology to co-create the future of the fashion industry, was held in Tokyo on July 9. DF was founded in New York in 2012 as a platform for key figures in the fashion industry and technology companies to exchange information and opinions and build creative relationships. Following London and Milan, this marked its fourth country of hosting.
DF Founder Liz Basseller
At the outset, DF founder Liz Basseller stated, "In just three years since DF's inaugural event, London has become a cutting-edge hub for fashion and tech. Today marks the beginning of DF in Tokyo. Regardless of your organization's size, don't be afraid to take risks—let's create Disruption." At the event, leaders from global digital platforms like YouTube, Google, LINE, and Farfetch, as well as established tech companies, shared insights and case studies. In the startup competition focused on in-store experiences, Memomi won for creating new shopping experiences with memory-enabled digital mirrors. They were honored by Mitsukoshi Isetan President Taishi Otsuka, the event partner.
