The 68th Dentsu Inc. Advertising Awards Exhibition is being held at the Ad Museum Tokyo in Shiodome from August 6th. Organized by the Hideo Yoshida Memorial Foundation and the Dentsu Inc. Advertising Awards Council, it presents all 61 award-winning works in two phases: the first phase runs until August 30th, and the second phase until September 26th.
This year, Panasonic created an original train powered solely by its "Evolta" dry cell batteries, functioning as an advertising medium itself, and won the "Outdoor Advertising Dentsu Inc. Award." The company also won a total of eight awards, including the "Radio Advertising Dentsu Inc. Award," "Newspaper Advertising," "Magazine Advertising," and "Television Advertising," and was honored with the top prize, the "Overall Advertising Dentsu Inc. Award."
Beginning in 1947 (Showa 22) as an award for newspaper advertising, it has now grown into Japan's premier comprehensive advertising award, covering all media across 8 categories and 27 divisions.
