The " We Must Do Something! " Project Executive Committee (Japan NGO Center for International Cooperation (JANIC), Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)) held a street briefing on August 19 in front of Lapis Roppongi in Minato Ward, Tokyo. Actress Alice Hirose shared her observations from "Fair Trade Sites in the Philippines," recounting her interactions with local NGOs and Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers.

Since its launch in July 2010, the project has grown to include 266 organizations and 128 prominent figures and experts as members. Actresses Alice Hirose and her sister Suzu Hirose joined as the 127th and 128th members.
At the briefing, Alice appeared wearing "ethical fashion" produced through fair trade. She reported on the people she encountered during her first visit to the Philippines and the activities of NGOs working to expand fair trade.
Approximately 230 people, including the press, stopped to listen intently.
Additionally, an "Ethical Lecture" was held by Rika Sueyoshi, representative of the Ethical Association promoting fair trade. It explored the significance of "ethical" practices—efforts addressing social issues such as environmental considerations in products, selecting safe and secure materials and manufacturing processes, and ensuring fair treatment and compensation for workers in developing countries.
Booths selling fair trade-produced hand-knitted stuffed animals, book covers, and other goods were also set up at the venue. Many passersby showed interest in the stories behind the products, picking them up to examine them.
