The Japan Newspaper Publishers & Editors Association will hold the newspaper PR event "Tomorrow's Front Page Exhibition: Shaping the Future of Society with the Power of Newspaper Creation" at the Knowledge Plaza in Grand Front Osaka, north of JR Osaka Station, from October 13th to 16th. This event, primarily aimed at young people, is connected to the 68th Newspaper Convention being held in Osaka on the 15th.
Newspaper companies, as news organizations, not only deliver news but also create new value for society in various ways: solving community issues, fostering business creation, and connecting people. The event will showcase "social good" examples—how using these strengths can make the world a little happier—across five themed sections.
A café corner will also be set up at the venue. Newspapers from across Japan affiliated with the Newspaper Publishers Association will be displayed together, allowing visitors to read editions they might not normally encounter. Attendees who complete a questionnaire will receive original eco-bags and memo pads featuring the "Newspaper Girls" character.
Additionally, as part of the Newspaper Convention, a hackathon titled "NEWS Hack" will be held at the Osaka Innovation Hub on October 11 and 12, themed "News to Feel, Not Just to Know."
