On October 12, the Japan Racing Association (JRA) launched "umabi.jp," an entertainment site designed to spread the appeal of horse racing through social media.
"Umabi" is a platform packed with entertainment content, created to provide both horse racing fans and those new to the sport with opportunities to discover the enjoyment of horse racing. The site name "Umabi" was created by combining "horse" (uma) and "good day" (biyori), envisioning horse racing becoming a part of everyday leisure.
The site features a variety of content, including special features like an original theme song produced by Tetsuya Komuro, original dramas and comics, horse racing venue gourmet and surrounding area information, and collaboration projects with popular sites like "Cookpad" and "pixiv". Content for beginners includes GENKING's "Beginner's Horse Racing Manual" and "5 Rules for Horse Racing Beginners" featuring illustrator Ken Koyama and former SDN48 member Marina Tsuda, now active as a horse racing idol. More diverse content will be added regularly going forward.
